Robert Poore
SHEPHERD
Rob’s career in education has allowed him to teach 3-year-olds through college students. He met his wife Donna through Baptist Student Ministry (now called Christian Challenge) at the University of Delaware. During their time in college, both Rob and Donna interned with the Student Ministry at Ogletown Baptist Church. Once married, they served in both the Youth Group and Children’s Ministry. Rob also served as a deacon prior to joining the Gospel Life Launch team. As Middletown residents, Rob and Donna are excited about investing in the community. They enjoy spending time with their three children (ages 6, 8 and 10), the outdoors, gardening and board games.

Jon-Eric Burgess
SHEPHERD
For a living, Jon-Eric plays with toys as a physics teacher at William Penn High School and adjunct professor at University of Delaware. In 2016, Jon-Eric and his long-suffering wife, Jenna, moved back to Delaware and joined Ogletown Baptist Church. He enjoyed working with the Kids ministry, Vacation Bible School and serving on the Deacon team. They are tired but happy parents of two crazy girls (ages 2 and 4 and a half) who enjoy princesses and falling over. Jenna loves chasing after their girls and working for her startup ministry-based travel consulting business. Jon-Eric loves being tackled by their girls, rooting for NY sports teams (sorry Chris), and waving to people as they come to Gospel Life Church.

Mike Mestern
Mike, a Long Island, New York native, moved to Delaware when he was 4 years old. Seeds of faith were planted when he began attending church in middle school and he came to faith after his freshman year of high school when he attended an interdenominational youth leadership retreat called Chrysalis.
He met his wife Annette during his college years at University of Delaware. After college, he had the honor of serving in the United States Coast Guard and during those years he married Annette. They lived in Massachusetts for 6 years and attended Cape Cod Baptist Church where they led home bible studies. He and his family moved back to Delaware after his time in the Coast Guard and God eventually led them to Ogletown Baptist Church where they served in the children’s ministry. Oh, and along the way they had two amazing kids!
When not working or on dad duty, you can find Mike in his garage making sawdust, i.e. furniture for the newish house. He also is a long time Red Sox fan and can be found watching games whenever possible.
Mike and his family have attended Gospel Live since the first service and have gotten involved in many ways.
